One of the first Zero Emissions Buildings in Lombardy, the “Green-House” of Zogno is the refurbishment of the former Falck building and will house the offices of the Brembana Valley Mountain Community. On the ground floor and first floor there are an ample conference room and various offices. The second floor, however, is dedicated to the Convent of Mayors of more than 200 municipalities of Bergamo.
The building will be a nearly Zero-Energy Building (n-ZEB): The heating demand will be 0 kWh / m³ years. The envelope with very high performance in terms of thermal and acoustic performance, is joined by passive techniques such as solar greenhouse, and an equally efficient system with a heat pump and geothermal probes, combined with photovoltaic panels and a ventilation system with a very high efficiency heat recovery unit.
