The Department of Infectious Unit, the only infectious multifunctorial specialist in the Province of Modena, is located in a separate building from the central body of the Polyclinic and placed at the side entrance. On the ground floor are the outpatient clinics, on the second floor the Day Hospital and on the third and fourth floor the hospital wards. The parallelepiped shape, formed according to the planimetric constraints of the existing hospital, is articulated by the bow-windows of the stables, the walkways hung on the facade and the entrance boxes. The ventilated facade has a colored clay fiber cement slab housed in a metal substructure.
